To effectively provide the services to the residents of the Parkes Shire, Council requires a fleet of both plant and motor vehicles. The current replacement value of this fleet is in excess of $10 million and includes items that vary in size from lawn mowers to loaders, from bobcats to graders and excavators. Efficient management has enabled cost effective, scheduled replacement of the fleet within recommended budget limitations. The replacement of the fleet is carried out through a process of quotations or tenders. |
