Open Food Stalls

Open food stalls consisting of tables only or tables and trestles, where permitted by these standards, shall be used only for the sale of factory pre-packaged food in hermetically sealed containers (eg canned or bottled soft drinks, canned foodstuffs).

Concession: Perishable foods may be sold if hygienically prepared, adequately protected, suitably stored and sealed.

Provision shall be required for screening or shielding the stall to protect any perishable food from direct sunlight.

All pre-packaged foodstuffs shall be labelled in accordance with the provisions of the Food Standards Code 1989 and comply with any requirements of the NSW Consumer Affairs Department in respect to date stamping.

Labelling shall include the manufacture's name, address, product description and date prepared.
