    Even and un-numbered properties Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  2. "Micro Systems" are defined as watering systems capable of watering at no more than 40 litres per hour.
  3. Sustenance watering of un-used parks and sporting fields will take place on Mondays.
  4. A "soaker hose" is deemed to be a spinker for the purposes of water restrictions, not a "Micro System".

Exemptions

Previously issued exemptions are now nullified by the new restrictions - previous applicants will need to reapply. Anyone seeking a variation of the restrictions will need to apply to Council in writing on an application form available on request from Council or it can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of this page.

Penalties

Use of water contrary to this notice may result in:

  • Court action where a maximum penalty of up to $5,500 in the case of a corporation or $550 in the case of an individual may be sought;
  • Authorised officers may issue an on-the-spot penalty notice for $220 to either a corporation or an individual and/or;
  • A restriction on service or disconnection of water supply. (Note that in the case of restoration of supply, a reconnection fee will apply)

Privately Owned Water Supplies

If your property is supplied with water from a bore, well or creek (under licence or otherwise) it is mandatory for you to display a sign clearly visible from the street adjoining the property being watered whilst restrictions are in place. The notice should be large enough to be visible from the street and should state: Well Water/Bore Water/Creek Water/Enviro-Cycle Water* used On Property? (* which ever applies).
