Committees of Council

The Local Government Act permits Council to create committees as it considers necessary, to deal with more specific topics in a detailed manner. Committee meetings allow Councillors to examine certain aspects of the functions Council provides at a more detailed level. The Committees make recommendations to the Council and if adopted become resolutions of the full Council. General Operating Procedures afor all Committees of Council can be viewed here.
