Council Departments

Council operates four main departments as follows:

CORPORATE SERVICES

Director of Corporate Services - Mr Les Finn.

This Department is responsible for finance and administration, human resources, information services, libraries, Family Day Care, promotions, music development and youth services.

PLANNING & ENVIRONMENT

Director of Planning and Environment - Mr Steven Campbell.

This Department carries out regulatory functions in relation to environmental control, planning public health, development, and waste control.

OPERATIONS

Director of Operations - Mr Steve Barry.

This Department is responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, drainage systems, parks and gardens, airports, swimming pools, noxious weeds and fire control.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Director of Infrastructure - Mr Kent Boyd.

The role of this Department is to ensure that the current and future needs of Council are met in relation to Council's infrastructure planning and management, contracts/project management, design, water and sewerage supply and treatment, fleet management and stores.
