History of Parkes - The Book

An exciting new book has been produced by author Tom Thompson on the History of Parkes called 'Generation of Change 1983 - 2008'.
It is a coffee table type publication designed to outline the manner in which Parkes has evolved from 1983 when the last major history book was published for the centenary. The launch of the history book will take place on May 12 2008 which coincides with the first official Council meeting on Friday evening May 11 1883.
